Each first Tuesday of the month, explore activities relating to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEAM)! In January, try out virtual reality headsets to see how VR allows you to explore your world. Discover the solar system, take a ride through the blood stream, visit the pyramids, and tour Jurassic Park, all from your seat in the library. Registration is required and begins Tuesday, December 20 at 9:00 am on the Library Events page at www.kentfreelibrary.org. For adults 18+.

Speaker: Pastor Patricia Dennison is Ravenna Avenue Church of God's Senior Pastor. Dennison sits on the Ravenna School Board. She sees her role on the board as an opportunity to be a part of the changes in the community.

Join us for a free matinee at the library. We will be playing A Ballerina's Tale, a documentary film revolving around the career of Black ballerina, Misty Copeland. Black ballerina Misty Copeland is profiled in this documentary, which explores her career, her recovery from a serious injury and the lack of diversity in the world of dance. Copeland serves as the narrator of the film as well as its subject.
