In August 2021, one thousand incoming Kent State students, faculty, and staff came together for the Kent State Day of Service to begin threading the fabric of a new Community Engaged Learning (CEL) initiative – The Social Justice Quilting Project. King Kennedy Community Center is hosting an open house to celebrate the completion of the first phase of its new facility and recreation space – a longtime dream of over fifty years in the making. Join us for this commemorative occasion! Refreshments and snacks will be provided. We will also have guest speakers and a final preview of the Social Justice Quilting Project, hosted by KSU’s Community Engaged Learning, along with updates about the center’s goals for the future.
