Social Justice Quilting Project Auction

September 2 - September 9

In August 2021, one thousand incoming Kent State students, faculty, and staff came together for the Kent State Day of Service to begin threading the fabric of a new Community Engaged Learning (CEL) initiative – The Social Justice Quilting Project. Student and community volunteers created social justice quilt squares to be assembled into creative patterns for auction to benefit the local King Kennedy Community Center.

The squares will be available through an online auction and also on display at various locations throughout Kent and Ravenna from now until September 9th. Funds raised will support King Kennedy’s capital campaign for its brand new multi-use recreational facility, as well as the local youth of Portage County.
