County roundup: Paris Township Car Show around the corner

The fourth annual Paris Township Car Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at the Shearer Community Center at 9355 Newton Falls Rd. All makes, models and years are welcome. Event highlights include:

  • Food, including pulled pork sandwiches
  • Emcee: Lil’ John Rinaldi from the Big Chuck and Lil’ John Show
  • Music by DJ Johnny Miller of Boogie Men
  • 50/50 raffle, door prizes and trophies awarded
  • Add to your Dash Plaque collection
  • Paris Township fire trucks will be on display

There is no registration fee. Donations are appreciated and will benefit the Paris Township Fire Department. For more information, contact township Chair Ed Samec at 330-358-2401 ext. 3.

Downtown Kent to turn into student art gallery in March
