City council approved a conditional zoning certificate allowing the possibility of The Church in Aurora having a preschool, possibly starting this fall.

The annual Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce “Only in Ravenna” event will take place downtown on Saturday, July 15. There will be live music, food trucks, DORA drinks and raffle prizes. Groundbreaking for the Streetsboro Community Center took place two weeks ago. The community center, which will be located at 8970 Kirby Lane at Streetsboro City Park, is scheduled to open in February 2024. The cost will be more than $3.5 million.

Aurora’s Master Plan is going to have its first reading at the May 8 city council meeting. At least three more students at Streetsboro have been targeted with sextortion in recent months, following the harassment and subsequent Nov. 19 death by suicide of 17-year-old James Woods, city and school officials said last week.
