The annual community Easter egg hunt, a fundraiser for the Palmyra Fire Department, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at Palmyra Park on State Route 225. There will be games, candy and prizes. Also, the Palmyra Fireflies, which is the ladies auxiliary for the fire department, will sell donuts, coffee and hot chocolate.
The bridge by the corner of Newton Falls Road and Holcomb Road has been closed by Portage County until a new bridge is built. Brick barriers were put up on both sides.
