Hello Windham Family!
April showers bring May flowers in Bomber Country. Unfortunately, thus far it has been a cold, rainy and snowy April. This old saying helps us remember: a period of discomfort or hardship can provide the basis for a period of happiness and joy. Looking forward to warmer days ahead. Spring is finally in the air and here are some exciting events and important information coming up in our little town:
Windham Alumni Banquet
On Saturday, May 17, the 134th annual Windham High School Alumni Banquet will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Family Center, 9005 Wil Vern Drive. Reservations are due no later than May 17. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for those who wish to visit with former classmates.
This year the class of 1975 (50-year graduates), the class of 2000 (25-year graduates) and the graduating seniors of the class of 2025 will be honored. Tables will be reserved for these attendees only. In order to raise more funds for our scholarship awards, we will have a basket raffle (donations welcomed) and a 50/50 drawing. Please consider donating a special award to go toward our alumni scholarships. Thank you to all who have contributed in the past events. Questions? Please contact Heather Fall, president, Windham Alumni Association, 330-720-3726 or [email protected]. Please note the change in location to the Renaissance Family Center.

Annual Marty Hill Golf Outing looking for donors
The annual Marty Hill Bomber Golf Outing will be on June 21 this year. This event started out as a basketball fundraiser and then morphed into an event to help build the baseball/softball complex. Now that the fields are completed, the profits from this event go to many things, including but not limited to, cheer uniforms, track uniforms, baseball equipment, field maintenance supplies, the alumni banquet, basketball supplies, etc. The hardest thing about running this event is asking people for donations. However, donations are obviously necessary to make the event possible. If interested, a person can donate in two ways.
1. Donation of prizes – We are always looking for prizes for holes. These include gift cards, golf balls, rounds of golf, baskets, etc.
2. Hole sponsors – Anyone can sponsor a hole. The hole can say anything you would like. In the past, people sponsored holes in memory of their loved ones, in honor of their graduation class, in honor of a child or friend, in honor of the athletic team, etc. Cost is $100 for a full sign or $70 for a half sign. Make checks payable to the Windham Athletic Boosters.
If anyone would like to donate to this event, you can mail things to Heather Fall at 3186 S.R. 5, Newton Falls, OH 44444, or you can drop them off to me at the school any day school is in session. Thank you!
