University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna recently hosted a Family Health and Safety Day at the Medical Arts Building at 6847 N. Chestnut St., Ravenna.
Among the activities were walk-up “ask a pharmacist” screenings for glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, bone density, grip strength, pre-diabetes, sleep apnea, stroke risk assessment and cholesterol testing. You could sign up for hearing, pulmonary function and thyroid and much more.
It is such a worthwhile event and all the testing is free. Watch for it next time around and take advantage of these tests. I do.
Doesn’t Ravenna’s uptown look beautiful! All the flowers are in bloom and so colorful. I just love driving through town and looking at all these plants.
