“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” — Zig Zigler
Let’s give thanks to the individuals and organizations who have donated their time/money to make the 2024 Randolph County Fair a success. As you stroll through the aisles thank the members of the Randolph Garden Club for planting the colorful floral displays. Give gratitude to the 4-H leaders, who tirelessly guided thousands of kids and teens. Extend thanks to Sarchione, East Manufacturing, Klaben Auto, WNIR and other sponsors for making the Portage County Randolph Fair a reality!
Here are some highlights of the upcoming fair which runs from August 20-25:
Tuesday, August 20 from 1-6 p.m. meet Dr. Joe Clark, Waterloo’s new school superintendent, who will be flipping burgers at the Athletic Boosters Booth. Besides being in the education field for over 30 years Dr. Clark has been a D.J. for 24 years. He was the D.J. for LeBron James’ graduation!

And remember:
“Don’t take for granted the advantages you have. If you can attend any meeting you want—political, religious, social—then you are luckier than 3 billion people in the world. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, then you are richer than 75% of this world. We all have struggles, but in the big picture, we are all blessed beyond belief and have tons of advantages simply because of where we were born. Pay that forward. You don’t have to be Mother Teresa. But choose something you care about, something bigger than yourself and give. Make the world a better place.” — Dr. Joe Clark, Waterloo School Supt.
