The People Tree Holiday Program for 2023 provides assistance to families in need during the holiday season.

The program includes several opportunities for community members to give back and help neighbors in need. Children served by the program reside in the James A. Garfield and Windham school systems, with special attention to those not served by other charitable organizations.

Here are some of the events planned:

  • There will be a toy drive from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 at Garrettsville Eagles No. 2705.
  • A second toy drive will be held at DayStar Ford from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 2.
  • Contact organizers listed below to join the “Adopt a Kid” program. Sign up and donate gifts by Dec. 4. You can also sponsor a child and volunteers will do the shopping for you.

Additionally, the program offers assistance with holiday food. If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to contact Dee Synnestvedt at 330-527-0223, Judy Huehner at 330-687-0630 or Lisa Irwin at 330-389-5472.
