St. Ambrose Church is hosting bingo on the first and third Tuesday of the month; doors open at 5:45 p.m. There is an early-bird game starting at 6:45 p.m. The location is inside the St. Ambrose Hall on Freedom Street. All participants must be 18 years or older.

The Curtains up Theatre will perform “Charlotte’s Web” on Jan. 17, 18, 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 19 at 1 p.m. in the James A. Garfield Iva Walker Auditorium, located on state Route 88 in the high school/middle school. The play is adapted by Joseph Robinette, based on the book by E.B. White. St. Ambrose is hosting its St. Patrick’s Day Reverse Raffle on March 15 at Sugar Bush Golf Club; doors open at 6 p.m. The event will feature dinner, a DJ, 50/50 raffle, side boards, basket raffle and cash bar. Cost is $100 per ticket and includes one number and up to two dinners (you must be present for dinner – no take-out). There will be a grand prize of $1,000, with every 20 draws receiving a prize. Buy-backs will be sold for $20. Proceeds benefit the St. Ambrose maintenance fund (new rectory roof). Only 100 tickets will be sold. The Curtains up Theatre’s Sip n Shop committee is starting to plan the next Sip n Shop on Main for July 26 (fourth Saturday in July). A portion of the proceeds will again benefit the Beautification Fund held with the Chamber of Commerce. Wineries should contact Sherri Collins at [email protected], and artisans should contact Jackie at [email protected]. Again, we will have the wineries down the center of Main Street, with the artisans sprinkling the sides from Center Street to the intersection of state Route 82/state Route 88. We will have live demos on the hour this year. Cost to participate as an artisan is $40 for 10-foot frontage and $5 per extra foot. Initial entry cost for wineries is $40, with the wine consumption rebate to be discussed.
