Around Garrettsville: Curtains Up Theatre serves up an exciting mystery

“The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” is presented by Curtains Up Theatre. It’s a mystery adapted by Jon Jory from four stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and permission by Playscripts.

The game is afoot and the legendary friendship of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson is born as they face a quartet of the most confounding crimes to ever cross the threshold of 221B Baker Street. Discover the truth about the surprising secret within an abandoned Christmas goose; the meaning of a coded message from an organization obsessed with the past; the danger that sends a family playing cards to madness; and the web of conspiracy surrounding a governess in an isolated country house.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 19, 20 and 27 and at 1 p.m. Jan. 21 at the James A. Garfield High School Iva Walker Auditorium, sponsored by Middlefield Carter Lumber, Ryser Insurance Agency and Ohio Health Benefit. Tickets available at the door $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for seniors and children under 12.
