The Curtain up Theatre is proud to present “Charlotte’s Web” at 7 p.m. Jan. 17, 18, 24 and 25 and 1 p.m. Jan. 19 in the Iva Walker Auditorium, directed by Jackie Rinearson, adapted by Joseph Robinette and based on the book by E.B. White, with permission from Dramatic Publishing.
The presentation is sponsored by Jeff Rinearson Health Insurance, Ryser Insurance, Sherri Collins — Realtor, Bella Dawn Events Venue and Carter Lumber. Tickets are available at the door for $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and children under 12 and $5 each for groups of 15 or more.
The Christmas Walk is under way — walk through four Christmas decorated homes and St. Ambrose Church. St. Ambrose will be serving lunches, too. There are crafters at the Village Hall. The walk runs Nov. 15, 16 and 17. Fridays and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays 12:30 to 5 p.m. Cost is a $20 donation. Call 330-389-1859 or email [email protected] for more information. The People Tree is busy collecting toys and coats.
Gently used coats can be dropped off now through Dec. 3 at Deluxe Cleaners located at 8050 Elm St., Garrettsville.
The Garrettsville Eagles will host their annual toy drive from 1 to 8 p.m. Nov. 27 on the corner of S.R. 82 and Center Street.
Toy collection barrels will be at the following locations: Bonner’s Meats, The Eagles Club, Huntington Bank, Middlefield Bank, Shannon Jursa State Farm, Snap Fitness, Subway, YMCA and Vivid Vibes. In addition to collections The People Tree is in needs of bell ringers. Call Pat at 330-592-1170.
The Tree Lighting will be held in Garrettsville on Nov. 30 at 5:30 p.m. by the clocktower. Santa arrives at 6 p.m. by fire truck. Mrs. Claus will be at the Cellar Door Coffee Company reading stories and serving up some hot chocolate and cookies from 4 to 5 p.m. All are welcome.
