Edinburg United Church, located at 4081 Rock Spring Rd., has been busy giving back and helping the community.
Recently, EUC provided 150 lunches for the First United Methodist Church’s Loaves and Fishes program to support those facing food insecurity and donated more than 280 handmade hats to those in need. The church’s annual Apple Pie fundraiser wraps up with more than 1,080 pies made. EUC extends sincere thanks to the many volunteers and community groups who helped make it a success and those who purchased pies.
Edinburg United Church will host a special Thanksgiving worship at 9 a.m. Nov. 24 in the fellowship hall, followed by Advent and Christmas season preparations. Check out www.edinburgunitedchurch.org for upcoming information regarding the Edinburg Light Tour to be held Dec. 8.
Downtown Ravenna will hold its annual Midnight Madness event from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29. The festivities kick off with the Christmas Parade, followed by families being able to visit with Santa and shop local businesses and vendors. The Edinburg Historical Society will skip its December meeting and reconvene at 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at Edinburg Town Hall, located at 6856 Tallmadge Rd.
Holy Meadow Farm is a new local baker in Edinburg. Miranda is the owner and baker and is a lifelong resident of Edinburg as well as a graduate of Southeast High School. Her baked goods can sometimes be found at Stahl’s Farm Market on state Route 14, but orders can also be placed by emailing her at [email protected]. Check out her holiday menu posted on her Facebook page. Right now, every order receives a free entry for a $20 gift certificate.
